Applicable Scenarios
Minimally invasive device for extracting stones from the urinary tract, biliary system, and gastrointestinal tract of various livestock and companion animals. Designed for stone retrieval in dogs, cats, pigs, cattle, sheep, and other common farm and pet species, including bladder stones, urethral stones, bile duct stones, and gastrointestinal stones.
Not applicable:Not intended for removal of hard calcified foreign bodies, impacted stones that are excessively large, or extra-luminal stones in animals.
Product Performance Features
- 1The device's exterior surface is smooth and free of sharp protrusions to prevent injury to animal tissues.
- 2Wire mesh basket: wires are neatly arranged with no loose strands, breaks, or deformations; shape matches the standard diagram.
- 3The push-pull handle ensures smooth opening and closing of the net basket. Models with rotation features offer flexible turning, and normal operation is maintained even after catheter bending.
- 4The handle, catheter, and basket are securely connected and will not loosen, detach, or sustain damage under the rated tensile load.
- 5Sterilized via compliant processes; sterile at shipment. Meets veterinary surgical hygiene standards.
Standard Operating Procedure
- 1Pre-procedure inspection: Verify that the outer packaging is intact, undamaged, airtight, and within the expiration date. After opening, inspect the catheter and basket for broken wires or bends/damage.
- 2Catheter Insertion: Gently advance the catheter into the animal's tract until it reaches the stone. Do not forcibly bend or push the catheter.
- 3Retrieval: Pull the handle backward to open the basket and capture the stone. The rotating version allows you to turn the handle to adjust the retrieval angle.
- 4Remove stone: Push the handle forward to close the basket and grasp the stone, then slowly withdraw it in a steady motion to minimize tissue injury.
- 5Post-procedure handling: This device is for single use only. Dispose of it as veterinary medical waste after use. Do not reuse.
Safety Precautions
- For use in livestock and poultry gallstone removal procedures only. Strictly prohibited for non-veterinary clinical applications.
- Do not use if packaging is damaged, wet, or expired.
- Do not pull or bend the catheter forcefully, to prevent suture breakage and retention within the animal.
- Stop using immediately and replace with a new instrument if the basket shows loose strands, deformation, or jamming during operation.
- Do not reuse for cleaning or sterilization; risk of cross-contamination and instrument failure.
